Why Astrology?
Many think of astrology as generic horoscopes in magazines, predicting when you’ll find love or what kind of week you’ll have, and others think that astrology means “being one sign”.
Astrology is often misunderstood.
It is the world’s oldest scientific system, blending the realms of predictive divination with masterful self-understanding.
Historically, kings consulted astrologers to predict crop failures, rebellions, kingdom collapse, and other critical events.
Today, astrology is used to forecast everything from political shifts to personal transformations, but I believe its true power lies in the 'archaeology of self and soul', or more simply put, self-discovery.
but astrology is so much more than either of these concepts.
Self-Knowledge: The Ultimate Path to A Life Well Lived
At its core, astrology offers a mirror—a profound reflection of who you are at your very essence.
While many believe they are “just” a Gemini or “just” a Libra, this is far from the truth. Every sign and every planet shapes the unique individual you were born to be. You are not “just” anything; you are EVERYTHING. Your birth chart is a blueprint of your soul, crafted with both precision and purpose.
As Carl Jung said, “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” Astrology provides the tools of self-knowledge and self-acceptance that empower you to do just that. It reveals your strengths, challenges, desires, and life path, helping you to navigate this lifetime with clarity and confidence so no moment goes wasted and no stone goes unturned.

Yes, astrology can highlight your predispositions—much like genetics—but your choices shape how you respond to life’s challenges and opportunities.
This balance between destiny and decision is where the magic truly unfolds.
Astrology doesn’t make anything happen; it simply reflects what is, giving you the tools to act with intention and awareness so that you can craft your most beautiful life and strike the balance between the deck of cards you were given and the ones you chose to pull.
However, I’d also like to encourage you to try on the idea of fate for size. In some ways, believing in pre-determined destiny can be incredibly liberating. Imagine, for example, hearing that you’re actually meant to be a late bloomer, destined to find your purpose later in life, despite all of the 20 somethings supposedly living their “best life” on social media. Wouldn’t that in some way be a relief, to know that you have time to find your “best life” too?
Astrology affirms that even the traits and situations you’ve felt ashamed of are part of your purpose as well. As Albert Einstein said, “God doesn’t play dice with the Universe.” You are here on purpose, for a purpose.
Illuminating the Path to Growth
Astrology isn’t just about understanding yourself though; it’s also about growth and transformation. Reading one’s birth chart (or ‘Soul Blueprint’, as I often like to refer to it) helps us to see our challenges objectively, forgive ourselves, and orient toward our highest potential. We hold the strengths and shadows of all our “natal placements”, which means that we are each gifted with numerous talents and abilities as well as blind spots and learning curves meant to hone us into better versions of ourselves. Through our keen awareness of self, we learn how to “rise above” these struggles, nurture our gifts, and nourish our deep-seated needs.
